Meeting of the representatives of the Military Archives with the representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, SUBNOR and the Association of Serbian-Russian Friendship "Slovenian Union"
At the initiative of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, a meeting of representatives of the Military Archives with representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, SUBNOR and the Serbian-Russian Friendship Association "Slovenian Union" was held on 28 December 2021 in the premises of the Centre for Liaison with Foreign Military Representatives of the International Military Cooperation Department. The meeting was attended by: Colonel Vladimir Bikov - Assistant Envoy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Serbia, Director of the Military Archives Lieutenant Colonel Petar Ivanovic, Mr. Vidosav Kovacevic, President of SUBNOR Serbia, Mr. Pavel Bushuyev, Head of the Russian TASS Information Agency in Serbia, Mr. Robert Resanovic, representative of the Serbian-Russian Friendship Association "Slavic Union", Head of the Department Dr. Mariana Mraovic and Lieutenant Colonel Dragomir Djukanov, Officer of the Directorate for International Military Cooperation for Cooperation with the Russian Federation. Colonel Vladimir Bikov presented the director of the Military Archive with lists of Soviet soldiers buried on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, updated on the basis of archival material kept in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (updated data for 2,200 people).
On that occasion, the representative of the "Slavic Union" handed over to the Military Archives the latest edition entitled "Battle of Pancevo in October 1944", hoping for future cooperation and exchange of research experiences with the Military Archives. The President of SUBNOR also expressed satisfaction with the realized meeting and emphasized the importance of the fight against the revision of history while nurturing the libertarian traditions from the Second World War.
