Meeting with the US Air Attaché
On February 3, 2022, a meeting of representatives of the Military Archives with the US Air Attaché in Belgrade, Lieutenant Colonel Manuela Peters, took place in the premises of the International Military Cooperation Department.
The meeting was held at the suggestion of the American side, in order to discuss how to access the archival material of the Military Archives and present them to the research team of the Department of Defense Prisoner of War / Missing in Action during World War II on missing Allied American and British pilots during World War II, on downed Allied planes and on the registration of Allied graves in the first post-war years.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Manuela Peters, US Air Attaché in Belgrade, Lieutenant Colonel Petar Ivanović, Director of the Military Archives, Dr. Mariana Mraović, Head of the Department of Archives Open to Researchers, Ms. Mila Antonić-Ćirović, translator and Ms. Natasa Pušica from the International Military Cooperation Department.
